El nacimiento del hijo de Rachel y Graham, fue hermoso!

Ambos norteamericanos, amantes de la naturaleza. Con extraordinaria humildad y sencillez, llegaron a vivir a nuestro país. Es que el mundo ha cambiado mucho Panamá ofrece para muchas parejas jóvenes un encanto especial. Aquí se sienten bien, seguros, en contacto con la belleza del ambiente y la alegría de nuestra gente.

Rachel y Graham, viven en una zona montañosa de la Provincia de Veraguas, junto a un parque natural bosque tropical húmedo. Allí dónde comienza la parte veragüense de la Comarca Ngäbe Bouglé. El sitio donde viven está a tres horas de la ciudad de Panamá en carro.

Allá fuimos, los visitamos Graciela, Anni, una partera norteamericana maravillosa que ha venido a acompañarnos en este trabajo tan hermoso que es el darle a las mujeres y sus parejas la posibilidad de vivir plenamente la llegada de su hijo ( a ). Tanto en la visita previa como el día del parto, nos atendieron como reyes. Graham es excelente cocinero y lo pudimos comprobar.

La llegada de Andros, fue tranquila. Andros pesó 4.000 gramos (9 Libras), y Rachel lo trajo al mundo serenamente junto a la compañía y el amor de Graham.

Unos días después, nos escribió lo siguiente:
Hola Nuestros Angeles,

We are blissfully and gratefully enjoying Andros’ company!
Thank you thank you thank you… You have enabled us to have Andros enter the world in the best way we could imagine! He is a lucky person to be able to start his life this way! And we are so lucky as parents to have had such a positive birth experience and meet him in this way!
We appreciate everything you did to make this happen! We will send everyone we know & love to you to have their natural births in water!

Andros seems very healthy and easily adapting to this world outside the belly. We are loving him so much! It is as if we have known him forever. He is HUGE! I can’t believe he was all squished up in the uterus at that size! He is eating heartily and often, pooping and peeing, and sleeping A LOT. His cord looks like it might fall of soon.

I am recovering well- with the help of Ibprofen- my loins and womb are slowly getting back to their original size. I was so high from the birth, I didn’t realize I hurt until I got up to walk for the first time. But I really think the warm water in the pool helped me to not tear so much!

Graham planted a beautiful palm called a ‘hira’ with the placenta today on our land- Andros’ tree. It will be well-fed I think- the placenta was HUGE!
